Mila turns 2! | South Florida Kids Photographer

I used to work with Mila's Daddy and have only heard about her

and seen a few pictures that he would share at the office.

After almost 2 years, I got to finally meet her and her fabulous Mommy

(not to mention Mila's fan club, aka Abuela and Tia).

Mila was a bit shy at first but once she started warming up to me,

we were having some fun in the sun (and in the water!).

Not only is she probably the cutest fashionista,

but she has the most adorable expressions.

Mila will be turning two next month so Mommy let her celebrate a little early. :)

There was nothing getting between this girl and her cupcake!

She was very focused on enjoying her treat.

I don't even think she got through to the actual cake part. She was fixated on the icing!

Mental note: next time, cupcake first, business later.

I met Julie and her family at the beautiful Prado Entrace in Coral Gables.

It was a fun session with her parents, brother, husband and 2 sons.

Her handsome little boys were naturals in front of the camera.

Julie's youngest son, Gabriel, had nothing but smiles for me.

He played this staring game with anyone who held him.

Dad caught him in one of these shots...and he just stared right back!

At the end of our session, Danny, the oldest son, showed me

a few of his silly bandz.

Apparently their the coolest thing out right now!

What a great group to photograph!

Sheli & Mike | South Florida Maternity Photographer

Can I just tell you how absolutely thrilled I am for these parents-to-be?

I met Mike the night I met my husband.

He befriended my husband when Steve first moved to South Florida

and we have shared some great times together ever since.

Mike and his wife Sheli are expecting their first baby next month

and I couldn't be more excited for them.

Although they don't know the gender yet (it will be a surprise),

they refer to the baby as "the dude". How funny!

They are amazing people who will be awesome parents

(and in less than a month's time).

Sheli is and always will be simply stunning.

The future daddy was just filled with happiness and

eagerness to meet "the dude".

Congratulations to you both...can't wait to meet you bundle of dudeness!

Just a little side note...

Mama Sheli arrived to our session with a sweet surprise:

banana muffins with chocolate chips! YUM!!!

They were fantastic! Mady and I enjoyed every savory morsel!

Although I think Mady might've been more interested in the

chocolate chips. :)

Kenia's Baby Shower | South Florida Event Photographer

Kenia celebrated her baby shower with her beloved family and friends

at the Miami Springs Golf Club.

She and her husband are expecting a baby boy, Nicholas Alexander, in August.

The banquet room for the event was decked out in bees and bears.

How adorable!

At each table was highlighted with a hydrangea-toting teddy

along with personalized teddy bear coloring books and activity packets for

her younger guests. Kenia even made a special book for my Mady! :)

I must say I loved watching the wine in the baby bottle game.

Kenia opened a few gifts at the shower (just because there was SO many)

and from what I saw, Nicholas received some wonderful gifts!

And mommy just seemed to shine as she was

opening all the thoughtful presents.

Congrats to the expectant parents! Hope to meet your little guy in a few months. :)

etsy shop in the works...

I've decided to create an etsy shop to showcase & sell prints

of my personal (non-clientele) photography.

I'm very excited to set up my shop and start listing items,

however there is one obstacle in my way...

deciding on a shop name!

My husband and I have been going back and forth

for the past few days, throwing ideas back at each other.

No luck.

This is where your help is needed.

I'm welcoming all ideas and suggestions for a shop name.

I'll be accepting entries until I have a few a like...probably until early next week.

Fiona & Victor | South Florida Maternity Photographer

Fiona & Victor are expecting their first baby boy at the end of July.

They mentioned that this will be the first grandchild on both

sides of the family, so everyone is extremely excited for his arrival!

Although it was a dreadfully hot and humid day,

Fiona was nothing less of radiant and captivating.

Victor did a great job of helping Fiona out with the loose

hair blown out of place by the beach breeze.

They were such an awesome couple to photograph

and I enjoyed getting to know them during our session.

I think they are going to be the cutest parents...don't you think?!

Can't wait to meet your little boy in a few weeks!

About a month and a half ago, I met my good friend Tracy and her

husband Roger for their maternity session at Matheson Hammock Park.

We have been so excited during her pregnancy for their son Oliver's arrival.

I can't believe he's already here and I finally got to meet him a few days ago.

He is simply wonderful.

He's just as handsome as daddy but with mommy's

brilliant blue eyes.

He wanted to stay awake and not miss any of the action.

However when he did fall asleep, he looked

as comfy as a bug snug in a rug.

This quilt was given to him as a gift.

It was started by Tracy's great grandmother and

completed by her aunt.

It was a perfect backdrop for some shots.

Gotta love this beautiful family!

My mini superstar is back.

Hailey had a great time playing on the playground

but she couldn't stop talking about jumping in the pool!

And I don't blame her...it's been so hot lately!

Nonetheless, she is the perfect little model. The superstar :)

Marilyn & Chris tied the knot last month in the gorgeous Virgin Islands.

It was such a treat to be part of their nuptials

and to be amongst all the charm of the island.

The newlyweds were high school sweethearts.

They had their first date on the beach

and were married on the beach in St. Thomas

on their 10th anniversary.
