Hi blog. It's me, Ann. I haven't forgotten about you, I promise!

I have been in super duper busy mode with holiday portraits

and have been focusing on editing and leaving my blog

entries for after the holidays, but I'm throwing in

one entry just to let you know I'm still alive!!

I had the pleasure of photographing Juliano's 1st birthday

last month (yes, I'm over a month behind!).

It blows me away to see Juliano celebrating his 1st birthday.

The year has flown by! It seems as if I was just at Juan & Vanessa's shower,

and Juliano's baptism.

The Dr. Seuss themed party was held at Books & Books in Coral Gables.

The kids enjoyed some story time and a little arts & crafts activity.

Lots of fun to be had!!

It was definitely the closest thing to it!

Miranda celebrated her 6th birthday like a rockstar, seriously.

Glitz, glamour & all things girly.

I can honestly say I have not been to a party like this one. Ahh-mazing.

When I grow up, I would like a birthday party just like this.

The Acevedo Family | South Florida Family Photographer

A few Saturdays ago I got to revisit one of my favorite

spots for a family photo session.

And I finally made it through out the entire garden at the Morikami Museum!

The Acevedo family was so wonderful to work with

(and so photogenic, right?!!).

Marcus was a natural in front of the camera and

was very enthusiastic about posing for me...and I can't complain. :)

After our session, Marcus' mom, Barbara, emailed me

saying that he was talking about me all night after our session.

It must've been the lollipops that made such an impression on him. :)

The Johnson & Tolmach Families | South Florida Family Photographer

I met the Johnson & Tolmach families at this beautiful neighborhood park

by the Johnson home.

The slightly chilly weather was quite invigorating.

The perfect opportunity to dig out the sweaters for some holiday photos!

And of course, we couldn't forget about our four-legged friends.

They were very well-behaved and just wanted to show baby Miles some love. :)

Meet the Tolmach Family.

They were blessed with their son Miles this past April.

I met him for the first time at my Pumpkin Portrait Party

but had the pleasure of spending some one-on-one time during

our family session a few weekends ago.

He has to be one of the smiliest babies that I have met

and I don't think I could ever get enough of those

big bold beautiful eyes. :)

First time parents Melissa & Pete are just in awe of their little guy

and I know they are going to have a blast with him.

The Rothfield Family is no stranger to this blog.

They have become part of the [remotography] family

as I've watched little Addie grow up!

It's amazing to see her running around, talking and signing

since I remember meeting them for her newborn session over a year ago.

We had quite an adventure that morning trying to meet up.

There was some sort of race, most likely the Ironman,

and they were blocking all the roads leading to the park we were headed to!

We decided to try another park, which also blocked by the race,

but we managed to get through! Whew!

Like most little girls, Mila idolizes the Disney Princesses.

She celebrates her 3rd birthday this year

and to commemorate the big event,

her and her family will go to Disney to dine with the princesses!

How fun!

This has to be one of my favorite sets.

I think Mila resembles a youthful Snow White

wandering through the forest.

The expression in her eyes is priceless!

I met this little angel when she was 7 weeks old.

Little Miss Olivia is so precious and petite.

She was also very alert and awake for our session

but we were still able to get these sweet sleepy shots.

I especially love the ruffly bottoms and the tiny toes peeking out

from under them. :)

Sienna & Giovanni | South Florida Maternity Photographer

It was a real treat for me to have photographed Sienna & Gio.

I knew Sienna from our freshman year at high school

but I had transfered to another school for the last 3 years.

We reconnected in college, where I also met her husband Gio,

then recently became reacquainted through facebook (gotta love fb!).

It was such an honor for me to have this opportunity to document

such a special moment in Sienna & Gio's lives,

the arrival of their baby girl, Valentina.

They were such a fun couple which made it so easy

to get all these great shots, especially of Sienna laughing.

They were also good sports about trying out a location that was

out of the ordinary.

I've been itching to shoot a more modern session

with a more urban twist and they were right on board with me!

This mommy-to-be even hopped in an unhitched, abandoned trailer!

All for the shot, right?!!

She is definitely smokin' baring her baby bump,

but I honestly think I don't have one bad shot of her.

Daddy, you ain't too shabby yourself. :)

I was even locked up in "jail"

and had to escape when Aaron wasn't looking. :)

Mady at the Pumpkin Patch 2010 | South Florida Kids Photographer

Last night we took a visit to our neighborhood pumpkin patch.

As you can see by her expression (or rather, lack thereof),

Mady wasn't very excited to be at the pumpkin patch.

She started to warm up to it when

we suggested that she toss some straw into the air.

Of course she enjoyed it...making a mess if FUN!

Mia's Baptism | South Florida Event Photographer

Congratulations to the Perez family on their daughter Mia's baptism.

The ceremony was held at the Congregational Church in Coral Gables.

This was my first time visiting this church, but I've always admired it

every time I had a chance to take a visit to the Biltmore Hotel.

Mia was a perfect angel.

Her bright eyes illuminated from her elegant ivory gown

and she was a very content baby on her special day.

Thank you for letting me be part of this great moment.

The Street Family | Kids | South Florida Family Photographer

It was a swing-swingin', lollipop lickin' Sunday morning with the Street family.

I love the morning light on this particular morning.

Loved the way it peaked through the trees

creating the hazy look of the first 2 shots.

It was definitely a cooler morning and we could sense

the fall weather starting to take over.

Brother and sister due, Ellie & Ethan, were just so loving together.

Ethan was telling Ellie all about his favorite trucks as they swung on the tire swing.

He also told me that he was going to be a big ogre for Halloween.

Is that right, Ethan?! :)

Ellie's favorite part of our session was her time on the swing.

She kept asking for daddy to push her higher and higher.

She looked so darn cute in her vibrant ensemble (and we can't for the bling-ed out shoes!).

Allowing me to introduce to you little Miss Leah.

She is Mady's sidekick (or more like Mady is Leah's sidekick).

This session was a gift to Leah for her 2nd birthday, which was back in July,

but it's good that we waited a few months because the weather

is getting so much nicer!

Our session was full of smiles (as you can see),

singing and snacks!

We sang a little of "Twinkle, twinkle", "if you're happy and you know it",

and we did have a request for "edelweiss" from the sound of music.

(I'm kinda surprised that a 2-yr-old knows of that song!)

Leah loved swinging in the swing,

but she really enjoyed riding on the carousel.

(We rode it 6 times!)

By the way, I'm trying out a few different techniques,

including an applied texture (in the first image)

as well some other effects.

I'm definitely in love with the vintage b/w / film look!

Gabriela's 3rd Birthday | Kids & Baby | South Florida Event Photographer

Aloha!

Gaby celebrated her 3rd birthday hawaiian style, complete with hula dancers!

She was joined by her friends and family at their home

which was decked out with all the island decor.

The birthday girl certainly had a great time.

She enjoyed several cupcakes, posed for many pictures,

splashed around in the pool and danced up a storm!

Those professional dancers had nothing on Gaby!

Ok, you have to admit, isn't this the cutest little 3-year-old hula girl ever?!

A hui hou...

These two young souls have found true love & eternity within each other.

Olga & Mike celebrated their love at the Rusty Pelican in Key Biscayne

amongst an intimate group of their family and friends.

It brought back such warm memories revisiting this venue.

I was also married at the Rusty Pelican 3 years ago.

It has such an amazing view and an even more spectacular sunset.

It was a lovely night of laughs, toasts, dancing,

and creating wonderful memories.

The Lopez Family | Kids & Baby | South Florida Family Photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing the Lopez family a few weekends ago

at one of South Miami's notable locations, the Prado Entrance.

Jeanette and Alfreado have the sweetest, almost-1-and-a-half year old, Gabriela.

She is without a doubt a little doll.

I just want to put her in my pocket and sing/dance to the chicken dance song all day! :)

I learned that is her favorite song at the moment and

she showed us a bit of her moves toward the end of our session.

She also love being chased and taunted me with a big grin.

My favored images of this set are the first and last shots.

The first shot depicts how precious she is and I merely adore it (and her).

And I love the second one because she was overly excited to set off my car alarm!

Yes, she found my car keys (hanging from my belt loop) and knew how to set off the alarm,

(at 8am on a Sunday to say the least).

Residents of Coral Gables, please accept my apologies. :)
